Card Payments (ServerSide)
Accept Visa and Mastercard next to crypto on Pro and Enterprise
On Pro and Enterprise you can accept card payments (Visa and Mastercard) through ServerSide, next to your crypto checkout. You connect your own ServerSide account, and card money settles there: it never reaches your Shoplio balance, and no Shoplio withdrawal fee applies to it.
Setting it up
- Go to Settings > Payments and find the Card payments card.
- Click Connect ServerSide, sign in to ServerSide and approve the connection.
- Back in Shoplio, confirm with your Shoplio password or an emailed security code.
- Turn on Show card payments at checkout.
How a card payment works
- At checkout the buyer chooses Card next to crypto (or balance). An email address is always required for card orders.
- The minimum is $0.50, and the payment page stays valid for 45 minutes.
- The buyer pays on ServerSide's checkout, which shows your store name, not your product names.
- Shoplio delivers only after it has confirmed the exact amount with ServerSide directly. If a payment notice from ServerSide is delayed or lost, Shoplio also checks open card payments on its own schedule, so a paid order does not get stuck waiting.
Money and payouts
- Card payments are paid out from your ServerSide account, so you withdraw them there.
- Your Shoplio balance, and its withdrawal fee of 5% on Free and 3% on Pro and Enterprise, cover crypto payments only.
- Refunds and disputes are handled in ServerSide.
Refunds and disputes in Shoplio
- A full refund, an open dispute or a lost dispute holds delivery: Shoplio does not deliver the order automatically.
- Delivering such an order by hand needs an explicit confirmation, and replacements on it are refused.
- Store credit is refused on a card order that was fully or partially refunded, is in dispute or lost a dispute.
- A partially refunded order, or one whose dispute was won, is delivered normally.
- Fully refunded and lost-dispute card sales are not counted in your analytics revenue.
Through the API
- Card orders returned by GET /api/v1/orders/:id carry payment_method "card" and a card object with provider, status, refunded_amount, dispute_status and reversal.
