Telegram bots for your store, and where Discord fits

Shoplio's chat integration is built around Telegram: five bots you connect with your own BotFather tokens, from sale alerts to a bot your customers can buy from. Discord is where Shoplio runs its merchant community and support. There is no Discord bot that sells your products, and this page says exactly what each side does.

The five Telegram bots

Telegram bots are part of Pro ($19/month) and Enterprise ($69/month). Each one uses a bot you create with @BotFather, so messages come from your brand, not from Shoplio.

Setting up a Telegram bot

  1. 1In Telegram, open @BotFather, create a bot, and copy its token. Use a different bot for the customer store bot than for your other Shoplio bots.
  2. 2In the dashboard, go to Settings > Telegram Bot and paste the token into the bot you are setting up.
  3. 3Message your bot; it replies with your chat ID. For the manager bot, add it to a group and send /start there to get the group's ID. The channel bot posts to the channel ID you enter, so add it to your channel with permission to post.
  4. 4Paste the ID, enable the bot, and use the test button to check that a message arrives.

AI help for tickets (beta)

Pro and Enterprise shops can also use an AI ticket assistant. It is a beta, and it is off by default on the platform, so it may not be available to you yet. When it is, it suggests a reply and an action for you to approve. It only acts on its own if you switch on auto mode, and then only within the actions and the credit limit you allow. Credits go to store balance, never out as crypto.

If your plan lapses

When a paid plan ends and its 24-hour grace period passes, the owner, channel, manager and tickets bots are switched off. If you pay for the plan again, the bots that were on are switched back on. Your tokens and settings are kept.

Where Discord fits

Shoplio runs a Discord server for merchants. When linking is available, Settings shows a Discord tab: connect your Discord account and, once you have joined the server, you receive a Verified Merchant role and a role for your plan (Free, Pro or Enterprise). Roles follow your plan within minutes, and disconnecting removes them. The server is also where Shoplio's own support tickets are opened, by category, including questions about Cryptomus and OxaPay payments.

Shoplio does not offer a Discord bot for your storefront or Discord order notifications. To sell to a Discord community, share your store link (or your custom domain) in your server; every purchase still runs through the normal checkout and automatic delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell digital products through a Telegram bot?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. The Store bot lets customers browse your products, buy, pay with their store balance in the chat or get a crypto invoice link, and check their orders and balance. Delivery is the same automatic delivery as the website.

Does Shoplio have a Discord bot that sells my products?

No. Shoplio's Discord bot runs Shoplio's own merchant server: plan roles for linked accounts and support tickets. To sell in Discord, share your store link there.

How do I post restock alerts to my Telegram channel?

Set up the Channel bot in Settings > Telegram Bot with your bot token and channel ID. When you restock, it posts your restock message to the channel.

Can I answer customer support tickets from Telegram?

Yes. The Tickets bot lists open tickets and lets you reply, resolve or deny them. Replacing goods or crediting balance from Telegram needs an explicit confirm in the command.

Are Telegram bots included in the Free plan?

No. Telegram bots need Pro ($19/month) or Enterprise ($69/month).
